I have spent some time looking for an online shop where I can buy some gadgets and that they ship to Spain (internacional). I have some bucks in my Paypal account I want to spare them to buy a Nintendo DS Lite, but I can't find a shop thay they ship it to Spain.

Does anyone know one?

Mr. Speedy - Studio 8

As many of you will know, Macromedia is now shipping Studio 8. I have downloaded the tryout version and all I can say is that after playing a bit with them, I have uninstalled MX2004 forever. Studio 8 loads at full speed (almost 4-5 seconds to load Flash 8), and all the new features are worth the time they save you...
If you were thinking to give them a try, I advice you not to try but to begin to work with it and forget previous versions.

I have been using Google Earth for some days and I can only say that it's amazing. There are some many things I would like to view that this piece of software, at least, gives you a glance of some of them. I visited the Vesubio, Grand Canyon, Venice, Paris... Be careful using this program because you can get addict and expend all your time visiting places and cities.

Anniversary and birthday

As some of you maybe know, tomorrow it's my birthday and I'm turning 27. Lot of things have changed in one year (new job, better life style) and I would like to thank my faithfully readers for being there, although updates to this blog are getting slow. Anyway, it's also the 3rd anniversary of this blog... 3 years blogging, so many funny links, software reviews, code tips and news (almost 2mb of news). I hope this new year will come with more blogging time to share some stuff of my personal and professional life.

My trip to London (II part)

I'm back from my trip to London and, what can I say? I loved the city, I really enjoyed walking around its streets, smelling so many fragances of different food that I couldn't distingish it. People is kind to tourist people (at least with me), and I think the city is very well organized.
Too many things shocked me, like viewing a Porsche or a Ferrari parked in the street as it was a Citroen or a Peugeot. Many, many sports cars and very very clean. I have been in many cities and London is the cleanest I ever visited. Also shocked me that all the business, I mean street shops, have a good design (the fa�ade, the brand, etc.).
I also went to the Star Wars Premiere and take some photos with some Stormtroopers.

Anyway, here they are some photos I took in London. My family appears (my wife and son) too.

This weekend I'll be in London for a short time to spend the weekend. I have never been there so I hope I have a good time. I'm very interested in the British and the Natural Science Museums. The only bad point I see in London is that is a bit expensive, at least if you exchange euros in pounds... I'll try to post some photos when I came back from Camila's home ;)

Keita Kitamura & Yugo Nakamura have created a really original way of searching for books, music and videos using the Amazon web services.
When you search by title, it shows you all the books which has that word, displaying it in a collage the shape the word you typed.

I think it could be more clear if you check it yourself, one image is worth one thousand words ;)

Today I visited the Gmail webpage and the counter is still running so my account now has 2004 Mb of storage and increasing.
The reason: Your storage will increase to Infinity+1, yeah, this means, no storage limit.

Lack of updates

Sorry for the lack of updates but there is a reason for it. First of all, I have change my work, now I'm the Manager of the Marketing department of a Promotional company (I don't know if it's called like that, they build homes). It's called Grupo Location and I'm really excited about the work. I'm responsible of all the website and the offline design the company needs.

The other reason is that I didn't find something to blog about. I'll try start blogging again in a daily basis once I'm settle again but I can't promise anything. Anyway, thanks to be there, my faithfully readers.

Displaying HTML Tables in Flash

Have you ever tried to simulate a HTML table in your Flash proyect? It can be a pain in the ass and if you want it to load dinamically it was almost frustrating.

Well, I have managed to find a quick and easy solution to this problem. The swf file below loads a HTML file into flash and displays it in two columns. How?
Well, I had to use the tag "textformat" with tabstops to simulate the columns.

As this is HTML is easier to update as you don't have to open Flash. You can also style the html, using custom tags and the CSS capabilities of Flash. Here it's the source code of the app:
